Happy Tuesday, Terp Fam! There is a lot going on in the world right now but we want to focus (at least today) on the things going on right here in Queens this week! All are welcome as we gather to share stories, excerpts, or lines from our favorite books by our favorite queer authors and writers! It can also be something you wrote yourself, no discrimination here! Also, look forward to thoughtful conversation about the books that help share the beauty of Pride with others and learn from each other along the way! Grab your favorite book, passage, or excerpt and come read it aloud and share what it means to you at Astoria Bookshop!
2. Caliente Jockstrap Party – ICON Astoria – Wed. June 18th from 10pm to 4am
Pride month is really heating up! In fact, you might even say it’s starting to feel a bit “Caliente” and that is exactly how we want it! Slide through ICON Astoria tomorrow (6/18) from 10pm to 4am for the Caliente Jockstrap Party! What to expect? 3. MX Lestrange Presents: Astoria’s Kingdom – Albatross – Sat. 6/21, 7pm Sharp!
Boasting the title of NYC’s longest running Drag King show, Astoria’s Kingdom is not one to miss! This show runs every third Saturday and each edition comes with its own special sexy secrets that have thus far yet to be announced. But it’s always fun when something unexpected happens! What you can expect is a wonderful, entertaining Drag King show with your host MX Lestrange and co-host Daddy Hyde! This week’s featured special guests are none other than Corsette and King Captain!
