WEEKLY FEATURED PRODUCTS

1. New Rolling Green Flower Drop!

Rolling Green is as consistent as it gets. Consistently terpy, frosty, flavorful, and top quality. This new drop is no exception and the heat coming off these four new strains is guaranteed to melt any stray icicles you’ve still got hanging around. The Lemon Berry (hybrid) boasts a citrusy sweet terp profile and a well balanced high that will have you wanting to go pick fresh berries and drink an ice cold glass of lemonade. Don’t do that. It’s still too cold out. The White Chocolate Chip (hybrid) will leave you with all the warm, gooey feelings a fresh baked cookie gives you, no macadamia nuts required. The Gluttony (Indica hybrid) will leave you couch locked and sock rocked in all the best ways. Skunky, sticky, earthy. All you want and more. Finally, Dante’s Rainbow. This stuff will have you painting with all the colors of the wind and heading outside to pass the blunt to the snowman. Come grab yourself a jar (or one of each) today!

WEEKLY RESTAURANT HIGHLIGHT – JAHN’S SINCE 1897

Looking for a trip down memory lane, only it’s your great grandmother’s memory lane? No problem! The last remaining Jahn’s Diner is right here in Queens and has been serving up classic American comfort food staples for almost 130 years! From melts to burgers to banana splits that will melt your worries away faster than the ice cream in the bowl, Jahn’s has all of the diner foods you know and love with a healthy side of retro diner nostalgia. Hold the pickle. Unless you like pickles. Then I guess don’t hold the pickle. Or do, but also eat it? All jokes aside, this place is a New York institution that simply doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. To survive as a business in this city for well over a century says something about what you do and how you choose to do it. What Jahn’s does is serve fantastic food and how they do it is the same way they have for well over a hundred years. That is quality and experience you can taste with every bite. If you’re in the Jackson Height area, we highly suggest you stop in for a meal. We’re confident it won’t be your last visit. Our suggestions for breakfast are the classics. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, hash browns, the works. For lunch, any one of the many sandwiches they serve up daily is worth trying. Especially the patty melt! Finally, dessert. This family restaurant and ice cream parlor shines with their house made ice cream treats. However, if you’re extra hungry (and not lactose intolerant) you can try the famous Kitchen Sink which is 20 scoops of assorted flavors of ice cream in one giant bowl! Many have tried, few have succeeded. You’ve been warned.

SMALL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

1. Melting Cups – Sunnyside

Born out of pandemic boredom, Melting Cups is a chic new coffee shop and lounge in Sunnyside that we love for a new spot to chill and get work done. Sure, it’s a bit of a cliche to take your laptop to a coffee shop but if you’re going to do it, you might as well make it a locally owned small business that doubles as a cool lounge and local art gallery, right? We think so too! This spot is vibey and cozy and serves up delicious coffee with a side of vibrant, interchanging local art pieces made by Queens artists. It’s part lounge, part cafe, part art gallery. All something we think you’ll love as much as we do!

2. Uncle Drink – Astoria

Sometimes you just need a nice cold refreshing drink. Even if it is thirteen degrees outside. When craving a sweet, possibly chewy drink in Astoria, check out the strangely named Uncle Drink. Uncle Drink is like that one uncle we all have that’s always making fresh pressed juices and delicious boba milk teas. Oh, you don’t have an uncle like that? Well, now you do! Stop by today for a fresh fruit and vegetable juice, smoothie, or boba milk tea and tell them Terp Bros sent you. But make sure to finish chewing your boba first. Don’t be rude.

3. O’Hanlon’s Bar – Astoria

Remember watching old episodes of Whose Line Is It Anyway? They would sometimes end the episode with something called Irish Drinking Song. Ever wondered what it would be like if that song was an actual bar? U.S. either. That would be terrible. What we have wondered is where there is an authentic Irish bar to get frosty Guinness pints and potato based snacks. For that reason, we present to you O’Hanlon’s Bar. Located right under the train off the Astoria Ditmars stop on 31st St. look for the bright green everything out front. You can’t miss it. Grab yourself a pint and something to eat and tell them Terp Bros sent you!

Well, here we are again. Another Tuesday, another list of new products, munchies busting restaurants, and local small businesses we think are worth visiting here in Queens! We think this week’s suggestions are so good you may actually brave the frozen wasteland outside to check some of them out. Regardless, we hope to see you here at Terp Bris this week. As always, thanks so much for reading! Stay safe out there and most importantly, stay warm! No better way than with some fire! Have a great week, Terp fam! Catch you next Tuesday.
