Happy Tuesday and welcome back, Terp Bros fam! It’s been six long, lonely days since we last spoke, and we just couldn’t let another day go by without dropping a new list of absolute heat for you! So, we’re back like every Tuesday with a new lineup of amazing products on the shelves here at Terp Bros as well as where to eat and what to do with your free time this week in Queens! The temperatures may be dropping quickly, but our shelves are full of fire as usual! Head on down to Terp Bros Astoria or Terp Bros Ozone Park today to scoop some for yourself and don’t forget to jot down the other recs on this list because this week is a guaranteed banger, no mash!

1. Higher Vibrations Flower – 7G Jars – Assorted Strains
There are a lot of different things you can do to achieve higher vibrations in your personal spiritual journey. WEEKLY RESTAURANT HIGHLIGHT – MANOR OKTOBERFEST
Sure, it might seem convenient that it’s the middle of October and we chose a restaurant to highlight that just so happens to have the word ‘October’ in the name, albeit spelled differently. The fact of the matter is, regardless of what month we’re currently in, this place is worth checking out. Nestled in West Forest Hills, it’s almost directly between our two locations in Astoria and Ozone Park, so no matter which of our stores you’re closer to, it’s a viable lunch or dinner option after you pick up some goods here at Terp Bros! So, why this place? Simple. Bavarian comfort food. Need we say more? Yes? Well, alright then.
This place offers amazing, traditional Bavarian dishes like meat stuffed Farmer’s Crepes covered in a mildly spiced paprika gravy, or the smoked bacon on a stick. Also, no visit to a Bavarian restaurant is complete without a giant pretzel and beer cheese to dip it in! Not a fan of more traditional Bavarian food or bringing along a picky eater? Not to worry! They also serve classic staples like delicious deli style sandwiches stacked high with juicy meats and fresh veggies as well as classic appetizers like onion rings, hot wings, and so much more. However, our recommendation is to try something new! That’s part of the fun of eating out, after all. For our recs to make the perfect meal at Manor Oktoberfest, we’ve got nothing but heat!
First, obviously, you’ve got to start with the giant Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and a tall frosty mug of the beer of your choice to pair with it. Then, the Krainer Wurst, which is a slightly spicy sausage infused with melty cheddar cheese. If you’re still hungry, you can’t go wrong with their traditional Saurbraten, which is thinly sliced roasted beef with a tangy, savory brown sauce, served with Spaetzle, a traditional Western European pasta and a side of red cabbage. Also, and this is a MUST, you need to get the side of pickled vegetables. Their bright, tangy acidity is the perfect pairing for the heavier, more savory entrees and starters! For those with a sweet tooth, they don’t have a steady dessert menu, but depending on the time and day you visit, they may have traditional Bavarian desserts and pastries available as well! No matter what you get here, you’ll be back again and again to try something new because it’s all that good! When you stop in, tell them Terp Bros sent you!
WHAT TO DO IN QUEENS THIS WEEK
1. Cityside Pumpkin Patch – Summer Club – LIC (Oct 3 – 31)
Something about a pumpkin patch this time of year is magical. We aren’t going to try and deny it. The smell of cinnamon in the air, hot fresh apple cider donuts, and kids running and playing while trying to find the perfect gourd to take home and stab repeatedly because tradition. While there is an undeniable charm to a pumpkin patch, for those of us living in the city, it can be hard to get out of town for a day to snag the perfect Halloween pumpkin. For that reason, the Summer Club in LIC has transformed their rooftop into a fall themed Halloween wonderland for local families to enjoy! Now that fall magic can be felt right here in Queens and with a stunning Manhattan skyline view. Pro tip, try to get there about fifteen minutes before sunset for even better fall vibes and city views!
2. New Material Night: A Stand Up Comedy Show – Q.E.D. Astoria – 10/23 – 9pm
Stand up comedy is one of the oldest, purest forms of live entertainment and it leaves nothing between the audience and the performer. This can often lead to nerves for performers, which is part of the reason stand up comedians repeat jokes over and over. For one, it helps you learn in real time which parts of the joke work and what to tweak next time, but it also offers a cushion once jokes have been worked out. It’s always nice to have something that has been tested in your back pocket for a quick, easy laugh in a pinch. However, some of the most fun moments for crowds and performers alike are those when the comedian tries out a new, untested joke for the first time. It’s a moment of immense vulnerability and when it works, the magic of that moment is felt by everyone in the room. Because of that, and in the interest of continuing the futile human tradition of trying to capture lightning in a bottle, Q.E.D. Astoria has started an all new show in which every joke told by every comedian on the lineup is brand new and completely untested. Come on through this Thursday at 9pm for a night of fun, laughs, and magical moments!
3. Terp Bros Astoria Two Year Anniversary Block Party – Oct 25th – All Day!
Can you believe it!? We’ve been bringing the heat to Astoria locals and travelers alike for two whole years now! We can’t thank you all enough for the support and friendships we’ve made over the last couple years and we look forward to making so many more friends and memories in the years to come! Now, with our second location open in Ozone Park, we’re officially starting our Terp Takeover of Queens and it’s clear that the rest of the city is taking notice! To celebrate the community that has given us two amazing years (so far) we’re doing it again! Block party time in Astoria! We’re talking food, drinks, local vendors, a lowrider car show, live music, giveaways, and so much more! If you’re anywhere in the city on Saturday, you gotta slide through and say what’s up! As always, we’ll be bringing the fire products and celebrating with all of our amazing Ditmars neighbors! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you so much for the love. Whether you’ve bought everything we sell, a single pre roll one time a year and a half ago, or if you’ve just recommended us to a friend looking for good weed, we appreciate every single one of you!
