The leaves are changing, the nights are freezing, and the costumes have been put away, which means we are one step closer to everybody’s favorite Thanksgiving tradition, the annual Cousin Walk. While there are heated discussions over the correct way to carve the roast in the kitchen, you and the rest of the chill members of your family sneak out of the house to walk down the road and get stoned before you gorge yourself on Turkey and cranberries. Now that cannabis is legal, the Cousin Walk may even become a Family Walk! The Terp Bros Ozone Park team has pulled together some suggestions that will get the adults in your family where they want to be, from energizing edibles to prevent the post-turkey group nap on the couch to snacks the members of your family can share. This year, add some excitement to the holidays with a variety of products to get the chilly season in full swing.
This week for Terpsday we feature product suggestions for things to boost the fun, chill the vibes, and increase your appetite for that weird string bean casserole your distant family member always brings. You know, the one that manages to be chewy and crunchy in all the wrong ways. We will also be highlighting community events to give back this year, because everybody deserves to roast a bone while eating a roast with those you love.Â
It’s all about sharing and caring here at Terp Bros Ozone Park, especially during the holiday season!

19th Annual Thanksgiving Eve Parang Festival – Wednesday November 26th
Hosted by Flamingo Restaurant & Mantra Lounge, at 120-06 Rockaway Blvd, the event runs from 8pm to 4am. Tickets are $20 in advance, and attendees are asked to dress to impress for this exciting event featuring delicious Caribbean food and music. Featuring performances by Crazy, Steff Trini Iron Girl, Rebel Musik, MB the Protege, and Alis Allstarz.
Parang as a musical genre came to Trinidad and Tobago by way of Venezuela; it is traditionally performed around the holidays and would be done by members of the community who would visit their neighbors at night, rousing them out of bed with a variety of popular instruments like the maracas and the Venezuelan cuatro. Similar to European “caroling” done during the holidays in the United States, the performers would then be treated to a variety of beverages and sweets. Today, this tradition has transformed into the Parang Fiesta, which is held throughout the holiday season from October to January.
The event is guaranteed to be a vibrant and fun musical experience for ages 21 and up! Reserve your Tickets here!
