Welcome to another Tuesday, Terp Friends! It’s that time again. Time for another totally tubular summertime list of brand new products here at Terp Bros as well as some sweet recs on where to munch and what to do right here in your own backyard! Don’t worry. This new list could never take last week’s list place, and he’ll never try to. He just wants to be your friend. This week, we’ve got some heaters and we’re not just talking about the weather. That being said, we do have a gorgeous set of sunny days ahead of us this week so make sure to scoop some fire here at Terp Bros and get yourself out in that sunshine! Don’t forget the SPF too! The only thing we want to burn is your weed! But before any of that, keep reading for a few minutes so when those munchies and adventurous feelings kick in, you’ve got the perfect list of what to do!
WEEKLY FEATURED PRODUCTS
1. Synergy Flower – 5G Jars – Assorted Strains (WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!)
We get it. Sometimes, all you really care about when buying weed is the quality. And, because we’ve all been burned before, we steer clear of any bulk “deals” we see in stores. Understandably so. However, what if I told you you could get a great deal on five grams of high quality flower for less than what a lot of smaller jars are going for without losing any of the quality? Well, you’re in luck! Synergy has jars of their high potency, terpene-rich flower in five grams and they are available here at Terp Bros Astoria for a steal! This week is the week to stock up, especially if you’re a flavor chaser. Currently available in Blue Gushers (Indica Hybrid), Pink Guava (Hybrid), Sour Headband and Lemon Cello (Sativa Hybrids). Four to choose from, or don’t choose at all and snag one of each only while supplies last!
2. Jenny’s Vapes – 1G – Assorted Strains (BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!)
After a short hiatus here at Terp Bros Astoria, Jenny’s vapes are back and better than ever with new strains and the same quality you know and love! In case you’re unfamiliar with Jenny’s vapes, let us tell you what makes them so special. First, they’re filled with super high quality cured resin, giving you a full flavor and full spectrum effect with each pull. The kicker? There’s a little switch on the device that takes this thing from an ordinary vape pen to a turbocharged, full throttle dab pen in less than a second. With the dab switch engaged, the pen gives you dab level clouds and highs to match. Repeat buyers of Jenny’s vapes have been quoted saying things like, “That thing you gave me last time kicked my ass… Give me three more!” We fully agree. Three more it is, and the three we currently have available are the Blue Dream (Hybrid), Pineapple Express (Sativa), and the crowd favorite, AddyCakes (Indica Hybrid). Head on over to Terp Bros Astoria to try one (or all three) today!
3. Off Hours Gummies – Assorted Strains and Flavors (New Flavor Drop!)
Off Hours is no stranger to bringing the heat in the edibles department, as well as others. Here at Terp Bros, we’ve known this and have always carried a wide selection of their gummies for their loyal fans. However, this new flavor drop was worth more than just a mention in the opening or closing paragraph. We’ve laced the shelves with a total of seven, that’s right SEVEN NEW PRODUCTS from Off Hours! Four of the new flavors are from their increasingly popular Live Rosin line of gummies. The Sour Peach Lemonade and Cherry Bomb (Hybrids), and the Iced Sangria and Rainbow Sherbert (Indica Hybrids). The Pink Berry Daydream flavor is the newest addition to their standard gummy lineup and is absolutely delicious! Finally, in an entirely new shape and form, we’ve got the Off Hours Ropes which are currently available in the Sour Raspberry lemonade and Sour Tangerine Sunrise flavors (Sativa). As always with Off Hours, their products use only natural ingredients and are vegan friendly and gluten free!
WEEKLY MUNCHIES HIGHLIGHT – TOOTLES & FRENCH
What’s the last time you had a chopped cheese? If you’re anything like us, it wasn’t too long ago. Let us ask you another question. When was the last time you had a chopped cheese that changed your life? That one may be a bit harder to answer. Sure, the unicorn bodega sandwich exists, but the world has been turning for a long time since the inception of the chopped cheese sandwich and innovations have been made outside the walls of the neighborhood bodega that simply must be talked about. One of the sandwich alchemy spots that has been attempting to create chopped cheese gold is Tootles & French. Sure, they just so happen to be right across the street from us here at Terp Bros Astoria, but when we say that this chopped cheese is worth the visit from any borough of the city, we mean it. Yes, even Staten Island. You know what? Especially if you’re from Staten Island.
This thing is the stuff of legends. Served not on a roll or a hero, but grilled, crispy, buttered sourdough bread. Next, the meat. Get your mind out of the gutter and into the high end butcher shop for their ground ribeye steak and onion blend that is cooked to the perfect juicy tenderness with optimal char. For the cheese, no slice of plastic American cheese product will do. As much as we love those on a classic bodega chopped cheese, that is simply not what this sandwich is or aims to be. A perfectly melted blend of Muenster and Cheddar cheeses graces the top of the elegantly chopped and seared ribeye and dressed with a housemade jalapeño aioli that perfectly marries the mix of classic and elevated flavors. From first bite to last, you’ll be happy you made the trip. They also have amazing options like roasted bone marrow, sweet chili chicken bites, fried olives with pear puree, delicious burgers, and lots of other things, but go for the chopped cheese. Get the other things, too. But go for the chopped cheese. And get drinks. They have great wine and cocktails, even alcohol free options! But go for the chopped cheese. Oh, also they have delicious unlisted dessert options that are all perfectly balanced and great for after any meal. As long as that meal includes their chopped cheese. Tell them Terp Bros sent you!
WHAT TO DO IN QUEENS THIS WEEK (AUG 12 – 18)
1. Take a hit, then take a dip in Astoria Pool! (Daily 11am – 7pm w/ cleaning break 3-4pm)
Listen, this is New York. Sure, we’re in Astoria, but there still aren’t a lot of spacious backyard spaces here, let alone ones with pools. You may be one of the lucky ones but for most of us, if we want to go for a swim without booking an expensive night at a hotel in the city, we go to Astoria Pool. Also, we love it. Tons of our regulars swim there and always have a great time. We love to hit Terp Bros to grab some goodies before our swim so we can get toasty before we get floaty. Then do whatever you like to do, whether that’s cannonballs (when allowed) or simply sitting on the edge and dipping your toes in for a smaller dose of poolside fun. There is no wrong way to enjoy Astoria Pool. Alright, there are actually a lot of wrong ways to enjoy it but we know our customers and our readers so we don’t need to spell all of those out for you. Don’t do those, just have fun and be respectful! And don’t forget to stop by Terp Bros Astoria before you head to the pool!
2. G.R.A.C.E. Wellness Market 2025 – Astoria Park (Saturday Aug 16th, 9am – 6pm)
G.R.A.C.E. stands for Get Right And Conquer Everything and this Saturday they’re hosting a wellness market event in Astoria Park that Terp Bros is happy to be sponsoring! This event has everything from morning meditation sessions to breakdance shows and live music. They will also be holding a wellness market with local wellness brands selling their goods at booths where you can get up close and personal with the people behind the brands. There are even live speaking events for you to learn more about your favorite local wellness brands and connect with other like-minded people in your community!
3. Astoria Ditmars Restaurant Week starting Aug 18th through Aug 24th!
Astoria is known for a lot of different things and many different places and most of them have to do with food in one way or another. This upcoming event is no exception. The Ditmars Blvd stretch of restaurants is especially diverse and deserves its own week as much as any other block of restaurants in the city. Highlighting restaurants of French, Greek, Japanese, Italian, Spanish cuisines and many more! This is the perfect way to try out restaurants in the area you’ve always been wanting to try but weren’t able to for one reason or another. Now you can try a three course prix fixe menu from twenty five to forty five bucks. You can’t beat great food, within walking distance, at a great price! Even if you don’t live in Astoria, this event is worth the visit. Some of the participating restaurants are Rivercrest, Tootles & French, Spanglish, Souvlaki Lady, Bar Parioli, and many more! Don’t miss your chance to try out some of Astoria’s best eats at a fraction of the price! Also, don’t forget to hit Terp Bros Astoria (conveniently located a few steps away from most participating restaurants) to get all your smoking needs. Munchies go a long way when you want to try a lot of dishes in a short period of time. Godspeed, terp munchers!
There you have it, friends. Just moments ago we were catching up on which of our suggestions from last week’s newsletter you tried and which events you attended. Then, out of nowhere there was this totally new list and it’s like, listen to me, new list. You are NOT my real dad. Anyway, hopefully this new list will help you through the trauma of the breakup from last week’s list. And if it isn’t enough, maybe this new list will buy you that fancy ounce you’ve been talking about. But only if you’re good! Until next week, keep it terpy y’all! See you in a week!
