What’s good Chron-oisseurs? It’s Tuesday once again! Seems like they’re coming around almost once a week lately. Weird. Anyway, Tuesday means two things. Tacos (obviously) and a new list of fire products on the shelves here at Terp Bros along with some awesome suggestions for what to eat and where to hang out here in Queens this week! Thanksgiving is right around the corner but it’s still too early for stuffing. Unless of course you’re talking about stuffing a joint, blunt, or bowl with some delicious, terpy goodness! As always, make sure to send us a DM on IG with suggestions for restaurants and events you’d like to see highlighted in future newsletters. Until then, grab a pen and paper and get ready to jot down the can’t miss stuff you’re about to read!
Also! Terp Bros Ozone Park, in partnership with the Ozone Park Civic Association, is doing a Turkey Drive for Thanksgiving next Tuesday (one week from today!) to help feed the community. Times are tough for everybody right now and turkeys can get expensive but we all deserve that classic Thanksgiving meal, regardless of our financial situation. If you or a family you know need a turkey for this Thanksgiving, the drive starts at 5pm and lasts as long as we’ve got turkeys to hand out so come early! Limit one turkey per family so we can spread the love as far as possible. Thanks so much and Happy Thanksgiving!
WEEKLY FEATURED PRODUCTS
1. Florette Flower 1/8ths – Assorted Strains
Florette means small flower. But these jars boast BIG flavors and highs to match! Florette flower is some of the most flavorful, and punchy bud you can find in the NY market and there are three strains available here at Terp Bros Astoria! Up first, the White Fire Durban. This heady hybrid has a bright, energetic effect that melts into a more relaxing high that lasts for hours. That, plus its citrusy, gassy, piney flavor profile makes this strain one you won’t soon forget. Next up is the Indiana Bubblegum (indica) and this one is an absolute flavor bomb! Notes of pink bubblegum and strawberries and cream fill your nose when you open the jar and the flavor only brings more to the table! This one is for true indica lovers. Mellow to the max, while still keeping you awake long enough to fully enjoy it. Finally, for the sativa lovers, the Strawberry Lemonade. This is exactly how it sounds. Sweet, tangy, fruity, and bright. The high is clear headed and energetic. A classic sativa flavor and effect. No matter which one you choose, Florette has something for everyone!

2. Olio Live Rosin Gummies – Cranberry Flavor
Pass the cranberry gummies, we’re having mashed potatoes! Bob’s Burgers references aside, these cranberry gummies from Olio are the perfect edible to get you into the fall spirit. They have the unmistakable tangy flavor of everyone’s favorite sweet Thanksgiving dinner accoutrement. You know, the one that everyone thinks they can make better homemade but the best version comes from a can, and stays in the exact shape of the can when you plop it out. You know exactly what we’re talking about. Still deciding on something for the ‘cousin walk’ before dinner? These will be the perfect treat for the holiday. Don’t worry, we won’t tell your family. Your secret is safe with us!

Heady Tree pre rolls are some of the best we’ve ever had. That’s probably why they have an almost permanent shoutout in these newsletters. However, the reason we’re highlighting Heady Tree again this week is there are some brand new options! Up first, the new seven pack of kief infused pre rolls in the Dreamin Sour sativa. These things pack a punch, especially for how small they are. Don’t let them fool you. They have the classic sour flavor profile with some extra citrus and cream notes on the back end. Flavor you’ll want to savor. Finally, there is the new Yellow Mermaid flower. This sativa is one for the tropical flavor chasers. Creamy vanilla and pineapple citrus notes up front, followed by earthy, smooth aftertaste. No matter which you choose, you or the sativa lover in your life will be pleased! Come on over to Terp Bros Astoria to grab an eighth, a seven pack (or both) today!

WHAT TO DO IN QUEENS THIS WEEK
1. Make a Donation to a Local Food Bank
Around the holidays, with family and travel and gifts and money being shipped all around the country, it’s easy to get caught up in our own life. However, it’s important to remember that there are people in our community that are struggling to keep food on the table during the holidays. Nobody deserves to go hungry, especially this time of year. Luckily for you, you live in a community that has a plethora of options to donate food or money to organizations dedicated to feeding the hungry people of this beautiful city. There is nothing like turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and of course, cranberry sauce. One thing that comes close to the joy you feel when sitting down to a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with family is the feeling of helping others enjoy that same feeling. These places accept food and monetary donations so they can also provide community members with jackets, winter clothes, toiletries, and all kinds of other essential items. A great place to start would be the Astoria Food Pantry. They accept donations all year, and even offer boxes you can sponsor and put up at your home or place of business to help get others involved in helping out! Want an example, or just an easy place to donate food this holiday season? No worries, you can bring your non-perishable food donations right here to Terp Bros Astoria! We have our own donation box from Astoria Food Pantry right here in the store!

2. Queens TDOR Event – Queens LGBT Center – Fri 11/21 – 6:30pm to 8pm
Join us for the Queens Trans Day of Remembrance vigil at the Queens LGBT Center this Friday 11/21 to gather, march, and remember those trans lives lost to violence this year. This is an all ages event intended to celebrate the lives of those we have lost in the Trans community and show the LGBTQ community members the strength in numbers they have supporting them here in Astoria. Registration for the event is optional, and all are welcome. To be respectful, we recommend smoking either before or after the event.

3. 2nd Annual 5K Turkey Trot for Astoria Food Pantry – Astoria Park – Sun 11/23 – 8am
The wonderful people at FlexFit and Crossfit Queens are hosting their second annual Turkey Trot to benefit Astoria Food Pantry. This year, they hope to be able to donate over a thousand dollars to AFP, and with your help, we’re sure they will! Registration for the trot covers your fee for a finisher’s shirt and a donation to the food pantry! Grab your sneakers and get ready to run to feed the community! Don’t feel like waking up at 7am to run a 5K? We don’t blame you! All the respect in the world to those who do, though! Running or not, Astoria Food Pantry is always accepting donations of both food and money for the other amazing services they provide the community! Runner and a stoner? Perfect! Run from your 5K straight to Terp Bros when we open to grab some post trot treats for you and your fellow trotters!

Here we are again, Terp Bros fam. Another Tuesday, another fire list of new products, delicious eats, as well as some fun (and important) events happening right here in your backyard! We can’t wait to catch back up with you next week with an all new list! Alright, well it seems like we’re avoiding the inevitable. But we’ve always been terrible at goodbyes, so we won’t say that. Instead, we’ll just say until next week. See you then, Terp Bros!
